Essential Writing/Drawing Materials
You don’t need much but you should have at least the following
Sketchbook (5” x 8” to 8.5” X 11” – preferably hardbound)
Pencils (HB) – standard or mechanical
Pencil sharpener
Eraser
Fine tip marker pen/technical pen (.03-.05 mm) – permanent waterproof ink
Optional Drawing Materials
If you would like to enhance your drawings and add color consider the following
Additional pencils (2B – 4B – soft pencils for darker shading)
Flat carpenter’s pencil (for shading large areas)
Colored pencils
Colored markers – fine tip
Watercolors – compact field kit
Paper stomps (for blending pencil areas)
Carrying Gear for drawing materials
You will need something sturdy and comfortable to carry your gear around the grounds
